Hey Winstigators,

After giving it a lot of thought, I’ve decided to put Winchester Wire on hold for a while.

I started the Wire because I believed Winchester deserved something local, independent and a little different. I still believe that. But putting together something worth opening every week takes time, attention and resources that I simply don’t have available right now.

Lately, Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings have felt more like another deadline hanging over my head than something I look forward to. I’ve always felt that if I’m going to do this, I should do it well and not just send something because the calendar says it’s Wednesday.

This isn’t necessarily goodbye forever. I’d like to return to Winchester Wire someday when I have the room to make it as good as I know it can be. But for now, pressing pause is the right decision.

Thank you to everyone who subscribed, opened an issue, shared an event to highlight, offered encouragement or told someone else about the Wire. It has meant more to me than you probably realize.
