Hey Winstigators!

I just learned that yesterday, August 5th, marked the anniversary of Winchester’s favorite daughter, Patsy Cline, releasing her self-titled debut album in 1957. If you're interested in giving it a listen, it's available on Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music. I had only been familiar with "Walkin' After Midnight," but after listening to the entire album yesterday—and again today—I can say it's perfect for a lazy summer evening.

I also discovered that back on April 12th (just a week before launching Winchester Wire!), a new Patsy Cline collection was released: Imagine That: The Lost Recordings 1954–1963. This is a 52-track compilation that features never-before-released TV and radio recordings, demos, and live performances spanning her early career up to just weeks before her death. Some of these recordings were recovered from someone’s basement, the Grand Ole Opry archives, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. You can listen to this new release on Spotify and Apple Music as well.
